The question is cable dying? It seems more and more people continue to get rid of cable. Most people don't watch half the channels they have, but that's not the only reason people are dropping cable, you also will save a lot of money if you decide to "cut the chord". There many options to choose from if you just want to stream. The most popular are Netflix and Hulu. Amazon is on the rise though.

Almost 24% of American adults currently don't have cable or satellite television. Do you planning on "cutting the chord" soon? I have had many thoughts about it. But until they add ESPN to these streaming sites I won't be joining in. I watch a lot of sports and that hasn't correlated to to these streaming websites just yet. If it does than that might be enough for me to "cut the chord".
I agree, man. The wife and I thought about getting rid of cable, but instead we switched to DirecTV simply because of the sports. Like you, until any other "offer" includes sports channels (for me...multiple channels) I won't be joining them.
