Facebook has a new feature used for natural disasters and terrorist attacks. Most recently Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook turned the Facebook Safety Check feature on for the attacks that happened Tuesday morning at the Brussels airport.

The CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, has made a promise to use the feature more in disasters. In 2015 Facebook turned on the safety feature for the attacks that happened in London. According to an article on Mashable "Safety check was used by more than 4 million Facebook users in Paris during the first 24 hours following the attacks, a Facebook representative told Mashable Saturday evening. And 360 million people around the world received notifications that their friends were safe."

I think this is an extremely cool feature that can let friends and family around the world know that they are safe. This feature can provide a sense of relief. In case the person is in danger and can't reach out to their friends, they can press a button on Facebook. The Facebook Safety Check feature also will send their friends notifications.

Cable is Dying and Amazon is Taking Over!

The question is cable dying? It seems more and more people continue to get rid of cable. Most people don't watch half the channels they have, but that's not the only reason people are dropping cable, you also will save a lot of money if you decide to "cut the chord". There many options to choose from if you just want to stream. The most popular are Netflix and Hulu. Amazon is on the rise though.

Amazon has been aiming for your wallet and they are doing a great job. They started offering Amazon Prime, which you pay a yearly fee and get free & fast shipping. Now they have added free streaming music, shows, and movies. They aren't stopping there, Amazon plans to make a bundles soon were they will bundle certain channels. They plan on making bundles with music and channels almost making a new cable TV, in theory.

Almost 24% of American adults currently don't have cable or satellite television. Do you planning on "cutting the chord" soon? I have had many thoughts about it. But until they add ESPN to these streaming sites I won't be joining in. I watch a lot of sports and that hasn't correlated to to these streaming websites just yet. If it does than that might be enough for me to "cut the chord".
